I'm Carin, a Swedish ceramicist based in London. I have been passionate about working with clay since sticking my hands in the mud at Morley College during my first lesson in 2019.

I just love the magic of seeing what comes out of the lump of clay in your hands, it is a surprise every time.

I am the mother of four lovely teenagers and one needy pug, Otis, who inspire and challenge me every day.

Clay has a life of its own and there is something very addictive about working with your hands. I hand build my sculptural pieces using a coiling technique with the addition of various tools. I build mostly with stoneware, porcelain and Raku clay.
